#VoiceYourOpinion #TeachSwell | Black and Brown History Everyday:? how BIG is the Latino vote? Why does it matter to us? #LadyFi #YourVoteMatters
In 2024, we're going to be voting for president. Right? And what we're going to be talking about today is latino voters. The latino vote is huge now. There's been so much happening with the latino vote. The number of hispanic eligible voters has increased by 4.7 million people since 2018. That represents about 62% of the total growth in us eligible voters during this time

I'm thinking me and my black homegirls, friends who are talking about the things that have been done to us as black Americans in this country, with the african slave trade and all the things, them taking us from Africa, taking our languages from us, forcing us to speak only English. And then because so many people have come into this country, we've had to learn different languages. I speak French due to my ancestry, lineage, whatever. Lots of reasons

We lost all of our knowledge because it was taken from us. So I'm on board with you in regards to that. But they're here now. Regardless how they got here, they're here now and they're multiplying. The hispanic population is way bigger than the african american population now. So when I was a kid, my dad told me in high school, he said, you better take Spanish because one day that's going to be the main language, English and Spanish

Like, they tend to be very conservative in their values. What I didn't realize was the exponential growth of the latin population within that age group that you referenced. I think it was like 18 to 24. That is a critical area. So when there are two things that's going on in my brain right now, there is the voting of that area, but then there is society and how the latin population is holding down their responsibility

But I'm hoping that the alphas and the generation Z's can do it. I'm hoping that things change because, yes, the population is changing. But anyway, I'll cover more about voting rights and things like that. And I'd be so glad for you to listen. I appreciate you greatly. Thank you
