Does being the oldest make you a Mother hen the rest of your life?

You, does being the oldest make you a mother hen for the rest of your life? And in the case of men, does it make them more assertive or more responsible type person the rest of their life? I think, yes, I was the oldest. I am the oldest of four, and I always had to take the responsibility of looking out for them, sometimes even looking out for my parents. But I looked out for them and always had to be responsible, whatever happened

@Nazia_Adeyemi40 thank you so much #mentalhealth #oldestchild #askswell #

When she has children, she'll do a much better job. But in regards to what you said, it's hard being the oldest because people look at you and just see responsibility, even if you haven't exhibited that act of responsibility yet. But we do our best. Thank you so much for answering back. Replying back. I really appreciate it. All right. Thank you so much. Bye

Hi, Evelyn. This is such an interesting topic, and I'm gonna process it as I'm speaking, and hopefully I don't make this, like, super long, but it just has me thinking on how our experiences, they really do shape us, even down to birth order. I remember during my undergraduate program, I studied a lot on birth order and the way it shapes the family system as a whole

So I felt like I was essentially raising them as well as my parents were. And as a matter of fact, my brother looks up to me almost like my mom because we're so far apart in age, which is a gap in itself. But I'm so grateful that I'm the oldest in a way, because I was able to watch them do everything that they wanted to do and to lift them up when they needed to
