He battled about 15 grueling rounds to win the Speaker's gavel in January but was removed just nine months later after infuriating his right flank for putting a stopgap spending bill on the floor with the support of Democrats. He said no matter the odds or personal costs, we did the right thing. That may seem out of fashion in Washington these days, but delivering results for the American people is still celebrated across the country

I honestly think meaningful legislation has to be bipartisan. Otherwise you get into partisan politics where whatever one party does is only going to be retracted four years from now when the other side gets the control. Now, I have to say that politics isn't the only place that people are leaving. I mean, 2022 was the great resignation. A lot of people are leaving to spend more time with their families, and you see that in many different industries

It should never be about party lines. Congress was made so that the congressmen represent the people, and the people tell them what they need, and then they do legislation and get it passed so that it helps Americans. These people in here are wishy washy. They're backbiters. They get on my nerves. They don't do their job. They just sit there and complain all freaking day. And now we have more people that are actually exiting Congress than are actually coming in
