Now, following her achievement, she continued her career as a private hairdresser in New York throughout her lifetime. But most hairbrushes at the time were made using animal hair, but the material was too soft to effectively treat the thicker texture of african american hair. But she used synthetic fibers, which were more durable and easier to clean. And the brush contained evenly spaced rows, spaced rows of bristles with open slots to clear debris away from the hair into a recessed compartment

So I definitely can appreciate the way that you explain the soft animal bristle hair and versus the thicker brush. I mean, I get it. I can see it totally. My brushes, over the course of life have definitely been thick, thick brushes because I need it nowadays, my hair is down to my mid back and it's super wavy and it's just very luscious, like, thick hair. It wants to dread all the time

It's. Thank you so much for listening. And you know what? Isn't that something that people can create, something that's going to be beneficial for everyone? And I so understand what you're talking about. About the kinky, curly hair. My daughters are mixed, and one has kind of straightish hair, and the other one has kinky, curly hair like me. But then even my other daughter that has the straighter hair when she gets it wet
