Now, in 1985, as the NSSDC computer facility manager, Ms. Thomas was responsible for the major consolidation and a reconfiguration of two previously independent computer facilities. She infused them with new technology and that's when she started serving on the Space Physics analysis network. Program manager. She was the project manager from 1986 to 1990. During the period, they underwent a major reconfiguration and grew to a scientific network with approximately 100 computer nodes, which connected approximately 2700 computer nodes worldwide
