You know, his contributions to film and television, art and the sports left an indelible mark in his recognized worldwide and across generations. My dad liked him. I liked him. My brother likes him. He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, partner and a friend. He got his big break in 1976 when he landed the role of Creed and Rocky, according to his bio. And he continued in that role three other times in the Rocky movies

Yes. This came as a shock to me today, hearing that the brother passed away. It was so ironic because yesterday, as late last night, I'm watching the basketball game and they saw a commercial with him. He's in the commercial with Gronkowski, who used to play for the New England Patriots. And he has the kick of destiny. So Carl Weathers is actually his trainer in the commercial and he's getting him ready for the kick

He's taking it as a last minute fight, and he ends up going the distance with Apollo Creed, not beating him, but going the distance, going to the cards, and he loses. But the kid from Philly went the full way with the champion, with the heavyweight champion of the world, Apollo Creed, which at the time, when you're looking at this, is pre. Like, this is Muhammad Ali area champion

And he's just a little bit larger than life, and everybody's been talking about the younger generation, talking about the mandalorian predator, all the shows that you guys mentioned. The one show that really isn't being talked about too much is his foray into comedy, arrested development. And I thought he was just so funny and just so great in that role, playing a frugal, very cheap guy that was taking advantage of Tobias and trying to teach him how to act

Oh, my God. I completely forgot that he was on arrested development. And he was Tobias's acting coach. Right. Yes. I'm going to have to go back and watch that. You're right. That is hilarious

And know teaching Tobias how to get bumped from flights to actually get money. Or telling Tobias that at Burger King, you can get free refills on any drink you want. And he just did it such in a deadpanned way that it was just absolutely hilarious. And I think it's Apollo Creed, man. It's this serious actor here just being ridiculous. And he just pulled it off so wonderfully, and I just thought he was great

But when you said, we got a stew going, baby, like you said, it took me right back to that scene. I haven't watched that show in years, but it took me right back. And then you described it, his just delivery in that show. And his performance is incredible. And, yeah, I love that you're telling me now that him bringing it in, being frugal, because the lines like that, just him teaching him been an actor

I never knew much about his personal life, but he was fantastic in the Mandalorian, and I was very sad that he passed. I believe he also directed an episode. I really liked his voice, too. He had a really cool voice. Any lay rest in peace, Carl lettuce

I'm sorry it's taking me so long to get back to you, but I agree, he had a wonderful voice. And Mr. Weathers, he did direct a couple of episodes of the Mandalorian, and I just loved him in that. I also loved him in Rocky and anything that he did, really, he had a dedication to his craft and he will be missed. And it's strange that he passed because he didn't seem to be in bad health or anything like that
