Yes, I was a nerd. I'd color in an amoeba, or I'd color in the aorta and the heart. And then I would put a short explanation as to what it was right next to it. It enabled me to not only write out the word, write out the explanation, and then leave a picture in my mind where I could understand what I was doing. And in doing so and showing them how to do it, they ended up getting good grades in the class, too
