Would You Date Someone Whose Family Is Racist?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Labyrinth
But love is a hell of a drug, and I'm addicted. What would you do? Would you stay and hope to overcome the lack of approval from the family? Maybe decide together as a team to cut them off? Or would you just walk away because it's not worth it? There's enough racism in the world and to have to deal with the challenges within your own family or amongst your potential in laws just I don't know, just not worth it

Is love enough? #racism #love #dating #family

You. Hey, Amanda. Wow, this is an incredibly hard place for you. I've kind of been in that same grace too, over religion. And also it through nationality, just to history. My uncle, my cousin, he married a Brazilian woman and they had kids and got divorced. It turns out that they married each other so she can have a green card. And it was like a very hard thing on our family

There are people who there are men and there are women who have told their family, if you don't like my spouse, then you don't got to come around me and my spouse. And they've distanced themselves. Yes, of course it hurts, because who wants to distance themselves from their family? But guess what? They realize that they can make a new family with the person that they're with

Some of the masters did, and they had secret relationships. They hid it. But then there was a baby, a beautiful baby that was born out of it. And sometimes it may have been kept and sometimes it was sold, but there was love between different cultures since time existed. And I think it's who we are underneath it all. Skin doesn't matter. We all can bring something to the table. Love is love. I never chosen anyone by their complexion

But honestly, if it was about love and romance and shit, yeah, that would be kind of hard to build a family when your family or your lover's family doesn't like you to the point of where it's because of your race and your culture. Yeah, that's hard. Maybe there could be some intervention or some sort of talk maybe to iron things out, but I guess in some cases that just isn't possible

You. So I live in West Virginia, and as a black man whose wife is white with three biracial kids, her family wasn't always on board at first. And I think because because West Virginia is like a trap, right? Very backward, very non, up with current events or what's going on currently. A lot of people here are afraid of the unfamiliar. They're not really exposed to different cultures and backgrounds. But once her family was maybe you're okay?
