Fitness Journal: Morning Tradeoffs

So weekdays in the morning, because a lot of people go to work early, the sort of mad rush to the gym starts earlier than you would think. And then in the evenings, it's incredibly crowded or it can't be. So I thought it most efficient to go in the mornings to the gym. However, I've shifted my workout routine. I'm ever trying to save time and be more efficient here where I really focus on dumbbells and barbells

You hi professor, I really appreciate you talking about what is the most efficient way to manage your time so that you can get your exercises in. And it sounded to me like you were really trying to sort of justify the early morning shift of your time management to get your exercise in before the day actually began as opposed to any other time of the day. Because of course you want to get to school, you want to get to the printers, manage everything that you need to do for work

But the kind of point is kind of like you're saying, and I'm experimenting with this, trying to do smaller segments. So I could either do them individually if I have 20 or 30 minutes to work with, where I can mix them together into longer workouts that are anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half kind of thing. So, yeah, and I definitely think it definitely helps with my mental state. Without question, I need to get the food and the sleep in better

So it's only 20 or 30 minutes. It's kind of like you said, 20 or 30 minutes when I can. So it's a much shorter time frame in smaller workouts. So that is the idea. All

With my kids schedule and me having to manage a lot of things before the end of the night and going to bed by a certain time, it's kind of tough to do. Friday through Sunday is something I think I can add in consistently there, like one or two longer workouts. Friday is still a normal day and I still have an extended day at the school
