Teacher Journal: Week 1 Continued

Like phones are kind of out, kids are not necessarily where they're supposed to be. I sat in on one supporting program just to kind of help out because he had mentioned they had trouble before. They said it was better but still the kids are like, I guess rowdy compared to other kids. One of the fellows said it's not really me, it's just the kids that I had and she knew that because she used to do support work across grades

It'll give you a better understanding of where they're at and what they're thinking, and it could help you come up with some ideas to implement. And I don't know if they still have teacher lounges and stuff, but then you can be able to converse with the other teachers. But, yeah, like I said, I'm glad that you're finding your groove and you had a great first week

Man, they treated that teacher like trash. I think people don't realize how much some teachers go through. And I've seen kids there was one science teacher class I used to visit where the teachers treated like trash. And like my Ela teacher, she's a small little woman. The kids are definitely afraid of her. I wouldn't say definitely, but generally speaking, they take her seriously for whatever reason. I haven't sat in her class in why, but they do

I've always said that it would be great if we can get more males in social work and teaching, because it's like, those are the kids that need it the most. But that's definitely good to hear. And there's always that one teacher that the kids are afraid of. I don't know something about that one. Either her reputation, or she let them know the first day of class. I don't play none of that
