I Think I Forgot How To Rest

My intuition is telling me that if I stay in the house, I won't really have time to crash because my son will come in in a few. Couple hours, if even a couple hours, or my mind will be racing, trying to get things done in the house. So it's almost like I need to separate myself. I know having alcohol before you go to sleep is not the best kind of sleep, even if it puts you to sleep

Because it's not an unfair ask, because this is your vacation. You are on vacation. You're not going anywhere. You're not going to Disney World or Colorado skiing, but it is your vacation. So it's an okay ask. But if you're not comfortable having that conversation, then maybe you do need to get away. So that's my share on that. I totally get it. Even if it's taking a shower, a long bath, going out for even a while

And then we feel like we have to get everything else done first before we can rest. Instead of seeing rest as a right, someone referred me to something called the NaP ministry. I haven't read anything on their website yet, but apparently it's about reframing our ideas around rest. So I'll leave that with you in case you have any interest

Interesting. You sent this from a teacher's perspective, so I actually took that advice. And if you notice, on the next, what's it called? The next wellcast. Funny enough, when I went to the bar and I took a break and read, I actually met somebody from the board of vacation. So we exchanged contact info and that'd be an interesting conversation. Those would be interesting conversation to have going forward

And it's nice and neat for you, and you don't have to worry about that. And like you said, just give yourself a little time to just decompress a bit. And, yeah, maybe you'll go to a hotel, and maybe you won't sleep for 19 hours or whatever the case is, but it gets you out of the rut, it gets you out of the routine. It gets you out of your day to day element. I know
