Pondering a quote I read

article image placeholderUploaded by @kristinatarot
I could have a house if I did X, Y and Z. I could have no debt if I didn't buy tarot cards. Or I should have gone out with my friends. Instead, I stayed home and stared at my phone. The could have and should have are very lonely. Very, very lonely. Very depressing. I think I need to turn that around instead. It could have. I'm going too. I should have. I'm going to

Hi, Christina. Hope you're doing well. That's a very interesting, profound thought. And I was wondering the same thing a few days back, how we let time slip by, let opportunities go. Wondering that, you know, if it's meant to be, it will be. But sometimes we have things in our control and we need to be spontaneous. We need to learn to improvise

And just to see that sort of process almost on the fly in the moment of shifting this place of regrets into, I guess, more intentional or desired living choices, et cetera. I know that many people have different perspectives on regrets, but this is how I sort of look at them in that I will have short term regrets, but not long term regrets

But I know for me it's a lot of what you said you were talking about control, and for me, it's letting go of control and not trying to write the outcome before it happens. I tend to do that a lot because I am an overthinker and I have to have just I have to have every outcome that I could think of in front of me, and then by the time I make the decision, that's too late

Could have, should have, right. But all in all, it really, really shaped me, who I am today and the things that I have strengthened and stuff, so yeah. Really interesting perspective, though. Thanks
