Demystifying Writing : Kill your darlings and idiots (part 3)

article image placeholderUploaded by @Kavya22
Kill your darlings. Kill your darlings. Even when it breaks your egocentric lil scrupler's heart, kill your darlings. This is a quote by Stephen King which is taken from his very great book on writing, which is called On Writing a Memoir of the Craft. So if you are somebody who is interested in writing and you want to better your techniques, you want to know the nitty beauty of the business, definitely recommend this book. So hi everybody

No everything you write may be usable and that is okay #writing #writingtips #poetry

We try to make everything look more fancy, more in the trend, cute and more advanced without understanding that the final consumer is one who has average English and average understanding of English. So I think that's a really valuable tip and that we can rewrite something time to time and depending on the new insight that we get when we sit with that same topic another time. So thank you for sharing sharing such insights and I hope you'll share many more such tips on writing and reading and skills like that

Thank you, Anisha, for replying to this. Well, it's very valid what you're talking about, how we try to, like, chase this ideal of sounding a certain way or sounding in a way that is publicly accepted at that moment in time. Like, if you want to write fancy words, write fancy words. Because it has a purpose. It has a purpose in the story
