I Believe by Elizabeth Alexander. Poetry, I tell my students, is idiosyncratic. Poetry is where we are ourselves though Sterling Brown said every eye is a dramatic eye digging in the clam flats for the shell that snaps emptying the proverbial pocketbook poetry is what you find in the dirt in the corner over here on the bus god in the details the only way to get from here to there. I really like this one. And it is so true. Poetry is really found everywhere. When you listen to the words of poets and you see what they grab from where they get their inspiration from, it's literally everywhere. It from the water drifting down the river to the clouds floating in the sky. And sometimes you get that inspiration while you're on the bus or walking down the street, but it is literally every everywhere. And I love this poem. Thank you for sharing. Bye

So there's this weird kind of privacy there. And every once in a while, some nice person comes by and offers you some water. So this, to me, is like my dream of writing poetry. That the phone ring and nobody's knocking on my door. Anyway, thank you so much for this response
