By the time I was entering college and really starting my career, my mother was fully disabled, unable to use her arms or her legs. And when my mother died, she was unable to speak and unable to do anything for herself. And then in 2006, I was diagnosed with the same disease. So that in a nutshell, is what multiple sclerosis is and what it is to me. I will probably do a follow up because five minutes goes by very fast

Me and MS

The gray dot had grown to cover the complete field of vision in my left eye, and that is when I was told that they had found multiple lesions on my brain and down my spinal column. And as I sat next to my mother, who was in a wheelchair, they told me that I had the same disease that she had. It affected my trajectory greatly. See, at that time, I had already been touring overseas

It's really rough, and I think that it's incredible to be here advocating and educating people on it, because I think that if I hadn't had my mom telling me about her exposure to it when she was growing up, I wouldn't really have much knowledge on it. And I still don't have much knowledge on it, which is why I found your Swell cast so interesting, and I just found myself listening intently on oh. That you were sharing the different effects
