Midday in The Enchantments

And larges are one of the few deciduous conifers, meaning that every autumn, these bright tree or these trees that look like normal evergreens during most of the year become these vibrant yellows and vibrant oranges and absolutely stand off of the stark and empty contrast of the rest of the area. I'd gone up into the area for the day of hiking and ended up doing over 20 miles of walking and about 8000ft of climbing. So it was definitely not an easy hike

This is so, so beautiful. I clicked on it immediately when I saw the photo and read the enchantments because I was like, oh, I know that place. I forget how, but let me check it out. And then once I saw it, I was like, oh, yeah, I'd seen it because a friend went there and had it on her social media

Hey, Joe, thanks for sharing this. Wow. I mean, what a photo. There's so much to take in there. It reminds me a lot of like the I guess it was maybe turn of the century American landscape artwork that was being done. Just like really sublime images. breathtaking. anyways, thanks for sharing and also sharing your feelings in the moment. Really beautiful photo. And I should ask, was this taken on an iphone? The quality is pretty excellent
