Old Wounds

article image placeholderUploaded by @Jessika
One syllable at a time pulled out as a broken wisdom tooth blood, gauss and pain a new emptiness to gesture bite around barely audible into someone's chest whisper tiny ants tiptoe across the skin leaving a ghost perpetrator of fire you all alone hidden in a cosset filled with white cotton dresses, flannel shirts and worn out wool socks catch the words in your palm before anyone hears scream them from the top of a skyscraper loud but high enough so they never land floating away dandelion helicopter seats dissipate evaporate water poured into a scorching cast iron skillet

I really, really enjoyed this. It felt like an acrobatic act with words. And I really love Dandelion helicopter seats. That's just that's a wonderful image. Thank you so much for sharing

@r.o

Ah, thank you so much. That means a lot to me. English is my second language, so if someone compliments my word choices or the way I write feels really special. So thank you so much
