Adult ADHD or just bad habits or something else?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Isoellen
What I am crippled with is too many ideas, too much motivation to get it all done now in a certain way at once, and multiple projects, too much confidence thinking I can leap into anything and do great at it and still have time for family and kids and relaxing and sleep and work and all the other things. What is that called? What is that called? When I write stories, I write by the seat of my pants. I'm a panther, which means I don't plot

I actually gave a lot of my art projects stuff away, and then every time I turn around, I'm coming up with another idea and I know I can't keep up with them. I never was diagnosed, like I said, but I know that there's problems. I mean, like I said, I can't finish everything that I've set myself out to do. And I love and I enjoy everything, but I just can't do it. So I'm glad

I do not think that correlates to the number of people who have ADHD, and I would say that the same is true with respect to sensory. All humans have a max ability to take in information and a max amount of information that we can process. It's different, obviously, for those of us with ADHD and autism, but we're all fallible humans. We can only handle so much, and yet we continue to create societies civilization that is beyond what humans really are

And I know that a lot of people who don't experience this don't understand that, but I can't means a variety of things, and I don't always have the right language be able to articulate it. There is a meme that you'll see go around a lot in circles that are autistic ADHD, and it will show someone lying on a couch and it looks like they're doing nothing but scrolling on their phone

And then if I look at information, look at ideas, look at creativity, as if my issue with going to the mall, I don't go to the mall very often, but when I do go to the mall, there suddenly is 100 things I need to own that I wish I had, that I maybe need to make, that I need to do or change about myself

In craft circles that I was in, there were some people that were like, buying crafts and buying things to do is as much of a hobby as actually doing the things. The only thing I can tell you that doesn't really work for me, but it helps is small steps. Small steps forward. Celebrating completed items, giving them away, giving everything left over away, and then moving on to the next thing that brings you joy. That's my advice
