Made me think of how he only had maybe, like, 60,000 words to play with in the language. And now today, we probably have double in English. And even though we like to remember in elementary school that Mr. Webster put everything in its place, that words really do have a higher calling. They're a living thing that changes, along with the collective human conscience. And they kind of exist in this tension between the gatekeepers and the disruptors
