Guilty for Joy?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Isoellen
Maybe a grandchild comes into the world that is healthy and the family is healthy, but somewhere in the world, a grandchild didn't come into the world. That child was born sick or terminally ill, or another child got cancer, or another child is starving, or another child fell into victim to child trafficking, or there was an earthquake and people are hungry, or there was a war and people are suffering

Why do we feel guilty for being happy? #happiness #gratitude #joy

Hey, I. So, Evelyn, you got cut off, but I sound like I understood the gist. But this is a huge conversation and very beautifully outlined and portrayed by you. I think that there's definitely so much happening here. And it is unfortunate that I feel like we are programmed as a society to feel guilty and negative. And I actually forgot who the author is. But there's this book called the Power of Now. No, not the power of now. Excuse me

It's a huge question. And I'm really wrestling with all of it. The guilt of feeling guilty for joy because of some things that other people around me are going through that are devastating and hope killing kind of things. And they're around me, but they're not anything I can control. It's not anything I can change. It's not anything I can make better. And I don't know, I'm kind of stuck in this place of feeling guilty for not feeling guilty
