Unpopular Opponion - Student Loans

article image placeholderUploaded by @IsabellaSabrina
And when I mean that, I mean not equipped with what student loans and what debt really, really means and understanding the magnitude of that commitment. And it's also predatorial towards people that are low income students. They know that the only way for us to either make up the cost for tuition is either taking out a student loan ourselves or have our parents taking out a student loans, or both. So I did a program with one of the local universities within North Carolina

Like the inability of people to stop working at the insane rates that some people are working, you know, two, three jobs. They need to do it because they need to pay back these loans. And in so many cases, myself included, when you make your monthly payment, you're hardly touching. You're paying interest mostly. You're hardly touching the principal balance that you have left on your loan

Like, I don't know how you can sort of see past how devastating it can be to certain people, especially folks from low income families. I come from a low income family

And like I said, student loans are very predatorial to those who are not financially literate, come from a low income socioeconomic background. There's so many factors, and it's very disheartening of, like, older generations. Not to be funny, but older generations who went to college for $200 is, like, telling you, like, oh, well, just cut back on your traveling and cut back on your expenses and stuff like that. Like, it
