*TW* The mental health system is BROKEN part 1
But I did want to just take the opportunity to get on here and just, you know, talk about what I'm super passionate about. As I've told you guys before, I'm really big and passionate about mental health. And so, yeah, there's a particular topic that is just always on my mind. And so Trigger Warning before I post this, I will post Trigger Warning in the title because I can understand or see how this could be triggering and upsetting to some

You have, unfortunately, law enforcement, sometimes somebody's going through dealing with an episode, having a crisis, and they'll ridicule you, they'll make fun of you. They're not trained properly. And so that's why I feel as strongly as I do. I know that we've come a long way in terms of resources, but I still feel like, oh, my God, it's so broken. It's like you want to criminalize people for being sick

Also, what we're seeing is mental health patients not really seeking out the resources that are available to them, because when people are dealing with mental health issues, they're not truly cognizant many times of the severity of their situation because they're not completely connected with reality. They're not connected with the reality of their circumstances, they're not connected to the reality of their health, they're not connected to the reality of this world

It's a spectrum, basically. So, yes, I agree for sure. And I guess that's another reason why I feel like the woman that I was talking about was failed. Because this is a person I feel. Again, I'm not a psychiatrist, but I feel that she is one of those people that should have been hospitalized
