Why I joined BJJ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

article image placeholderUploaded by @iamkedeja
I feel like I'm obligated, and I owe Jiujitsu my love and my respect and my time, because Jiujitsu gives me that back. So I joined Jiujitsu on accident, but I stay with Jiujitsu because it gives me purpose. I'll be competing this year. I have two competitions in May and then one in September. End of August, september contemplating on the one in Austin right now

Plus everybody won't see somebody get hit in the face or get knocked out or something. I started kind of understanding what was going on with the submissions. And at the time I was taking muitai, I was really enjoying it. And then one night he was like, we're going to get on the ground and roll a little bit. I was like, what is roll a little bit? And before I knew it, man, I was done

It. Sorry about that. I got one more question a while back. I think it was Joe Rogan or something, and he turned me on to Gordon Ryan. And it was interesting to see. I think he's like a three or five time champion. I forget what it is. I can't remember. I don't want to say the wrong thing, but I know us grappling, and I think he actually does jujitsu too. I think he competes in both

And roll as much as you can and you'll be forever be a student. You will never know everything about jiujitsu. Even Gordon Ryan does not know everything about jiu jitsu and watch some videos. But when you do, and if you do go to take a class and you get under instructor, my advice is to not ever ask when you're going to get your blue belt and also just chill and don't try to let your ego get involved

I don't have no problem getting broken up a little bit as long as I'm learning something, male or female. But thank you for your experience and thank you for the I guess kind of like the precursor, you know what I mean? There are a couple of do's and don'ts that would probably make it easy for me. And for someone that had a problem with ego, I don't have it no more
