Now, I know that family structures in themselves have changed over the years. Some people are raised in single parent homes where there is no father. Some people have estranged relationships with their father
Either way, you hold the ground or you give in. You do it with gentleness and love. But I think that it would be beneficial for the suitor to hear such things and to also realize the father knows what it's like to live with her. I don't mean that in a negative way, but it's reality. We don't always wake up in the best moods. We don't always make the right choices. We don't always tend to react the right way

I felt that he robbed me. He robbed me of my blessing. He robbed me of the ability to just know who this is that's taking responsibility of my daughter. And I say this for the guys so that if you're in a position that you want to further this relation or further commit yourself to your girl, your girlfriend, your fiance, then I always say do it the proper way. Go to the father of the family

But yes, it's so important to make sure that you get the blessings from the father because he is the one that's giving you his daughter, putting her life in your hands. And I didn't have my father, but I had my mom. And I certainly looked up to her and she would give me her opinion. I think it's important that the father sits down, talks to the gentleman, get to know the gentleman. Your environment plays a vital role
