TRAUMATIC EVENTS | Introduction & Quote

article image placeholderUploaded by @hope
But today I wanted to just sort of do a high level thought exchange with anybody who's listening who wants to talk about events and your feelings about how personal events or world events can affect your mental wellness. So looking forward to this conversation in this week. Thanks

And I think it's important for people, if you feel, if you've experienced some sort of traumatic event, is to reach out to somebody, be a friend, therapist, a coach, whomever, and have a team of people around you who are rooting for you. And I think that's really been helpful for me over these past few months. Thanks

Hello and thank you for posting this. I'm only been on swell for about a month and I find it very healing and I enjoy and find it inspirational to listen to people. So I'm glad you posted this because it's very true that if you are going through something, to reach out to family members and therapist or whoever you can, and how you get through the traumatic events is very vital in how you proceed and how you manage

A family member of mine really was quite harsh with me, and cruel was some very harsh words, and it really took me back, and it made the experience of my mom passing even worse because this is a family member I love dearly. And I know we all just, you know, experience grief in certain ways, but there were words that came out of their mouth that I never thought I would hear. And I took it and I listened, but I didn't have a reaction to it

Hey, Richard and Denise, I want to thank you both for chiming in here. I know it's difficult sometimes to find the time and the space and the language to talk about stuff like this, but you both are always. Denise, you're new, but rich, you always bring up some good points about that internal process versus the external when we find the right person to process things with. And denise, I'm sorry about losing your mom

And I think that that's the important part. So thank you for opening the floor to discussions on trauma and I will finish checking out the series. Bye
