INVISIBLE ILLNESS | BOOK - You don’t look sick!

article image placeholderUploaded by @hope
Welcome to where the light gets in. We are wrapping up our week that covers the conversations around invisible illness. It's been an extraordinary week, and one of the most moving parts of this week for me is that when something is invisible, and then we have conversations that bring light to this issue, shed light on this issue, and feature voices that come from people who really have this lived experience. There's nothing more meaningful to me

Hi there. Chica here. And thank you again for presenting this book in the topic. It's. Mmm. It's so been a part of my. Most of my life. I. In the hashtag that you presented on day one, I just responded to that, but this in particular justifying illness. Oh, my God

And I remember just being so confused because first of all, that comment kind of came out of nowhere to me. Second of all, it was very obvious that it was because you could see my ribs. And thirdly, my first response was to laugh and go, no, I lost so much weight when I had started getting sick because I just couldn't eat, and I lost weight very rapidly
