LONGING TO BELONG | #TellYourStory - A person, community or place where you truly feel a sense of belonging

And really bring us the details, like, let us know why you're feeling that sense of belonging. I really think that examples of our own lives just kind of so resonate with people, and you might even give someone an idea that they didn't think about where they can go to connect. So I appreciate your thoughts and your stories. They really make a difference. Thanks so much

TWO COUCHES…

And it's the kind of unconditional love that I think we all really crave and want. And I got it, and I'm grateful every single day. So I truly feel a sense of belonging in these two homes. And it makes me realize how important my couches are in my home, which I always hope that are open to anybody who needs them in my close knit circle. So that's my story of two couches. Bye

I just love this topic. And I love the fact that I have you to come to our couch. I am the Ruth in the Ruth and Larry couple, and I can just throw that right back at you. In fact, your couches and your home is such a warm home

Hello. That was a beautiful story. I mean, are we even able to find such people in our lives these days? That was quite beautiful. And to be able to crash into people's places with them, understanding the need of doing so, plus finding a place to lay down when things seem bit wobbly and when you need to clear your head. I think you're quite blessed to be having a motley crew, if I can use that word

Harry, thank you for responding. I was thinking as you were talking, how sometimes when we are looking for something, we try to be that for somebody else. And that's how we find that something. Being a couch for someone else. And then it sort of builds that ripple effect out, I think

@hope #TheRippleEffect 💯

The ripple effect reverberates and creates and ensures there are smiles on people's faces. So nice. Thank you so much for sharing your story, at least from that little lesson that I had a couple of days ago, I've realized that the world on the outside might look threatening and extremely scary, but in small pockets there's hope. There's hope of finding the right sort of people who become an extended part of your family. And rightly so

So, like I say, every facet of life, even being invited to dinner. A friend invited me to dinner last week and had a great time talking to him. We tend to do podcasts that we never actually publish, but just everything. It really is a basic human need. So, just saying I'm relating to this topic, I don't know if I've added much to it. I'm afraid if I keep mentioning examples, I'll go on and on and on

The fact that the couch has held my family, my friends, that's the first thing I look at and usually throw my purse and go, there's just something very cradling or embracing about your couch when you walk into the house. And it's like, yes, I just feel at home now and feel accepted, and I belong here. So even on that level, I guess we can feel a sense of belonging even in our own little abode

And as much as I wanted to talk to them and connect, it just wasn't happening because we were also so different. And I struggled with that because I've always at least been able to talk to anyone. So it became really important for me working where I work at now. When I was the manager, initially it became really important to create a setting where people felt like they were free to speak, would be heard, are accepted for who they are

And hopefully you can bring some of that energy over to swell, too, because we really are a community of people who want to connect on a regular basis about things that we care about and love and grow and twist and turn through whatever it feels like that week's about. So I really appreciate you being here. Thank you

I'm not necessarily a fan of a commercial holiday, but anytime you can celebrate loving anyone or yourself, I think I'm all for it. So I just made it a point today to tell the girls you're beautiful and kind, you work hard and deserve the best. You're loved by your team for being exactly who you are
