And he wondered if that was happening again. And I kind of blew it off. I was like

But part of that episode was discussion of how goodwill and donations, collecting things and sending them to Kenya has collapsed the textile market there

I'm not sure if it was missionary work or just as a teacher or both, but one of the things I learned from him was that also, China is very heavily moving into Africa, and that really, there's so many people that have left Africa that have died of disease, and they're creating this kind of new silk road. When he was there, he saw chinese officials coming, and they're buying up the ports and striking up these deals for these railroads and lending them the money
