Do Not Be Afraid?

article image placeholderUploaded by @homosanity
As somebody that struggled with depression and high amounts of anxiety to panic attack levels throughout my whole life, it's been thrown around in a flippant way that I've not appreciated. And in christian circles, with scriptures plastered on things about fear and anxiety, I've also not appreciated that. And I've worked throughout my life with different tools and things to help me through

And so what I found is to find the place in your body where you're feeling that anxiety and put your hand there and speak to the child part of you, because it's often the child part of you that's feeling this. We have different parts of us, a child part of us, protector parts of us. And so you speak to this child that did not feel safe back then, maybe didn't feel loved, maybe felt whatever separation trauma back then

I don't care if it's a nine eight eight number for the suicide line. Those numbers aren't just for suicide. It's also a crisis talk line. But whoever it is, at least have one person to talk to. So to close, I'm going to be doing some coaching coming up around anxiety. That's where I'm heading to, so stay tuned for that. I'll be opening up some coaching if you're interested. I hope to do that in the near future

And I love the fact that you are so open and honest about your life and your journey. And that's what we're all trying to do, right? My pastor husband says we're all on different mile markers, just trying to get to heaven or part two or the other side, whatever you want to call it. I love how you share what works for you and what you're learning along the way. And I love your quotes, and I love how you quote other people
