"Tell All the Truth But Tell It SLANT" What Does This Emily Dickinson Poem Really Mean?š¤
It goes in a roundabout way, but it eventually finds its direction, so we don't just want to throw everything on everyone. And years later, when we came across our old roommate, she apologized to us and said, hey, I was an angry person back then, but by then, we've seen what she was talking. So maybe that's not what Emily Dickinson meant in her poem, right? Or maybe it is what she meant

Hey, Erica expression and I just want to thank you for sharing it. Emily didn't poem and, you know, I try to not overwhelm with too much information them because I myself get overwhelmed with too much information. But there's times I'm just in the zone on a roll I could just post or quote. But I save them and I post them as I feel them, as they're needed, as in they're necessary in my life and in others

And a great example, great examples rather, would be people like JFK. Mahatma Gandhi. Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Malcolm X. Those are actually people that were pretty much putting the truth out. But again, based on how the society is run, you have people that really don't want all the truth out. And sadly, what happened with those gentlemen that I mentioned, they were assassinated once they put the truth out there

Hey, Becky, thank you so much for responding to my swell. And I know how you feel when we're in the flow of getting things out, of getting words out. You know, we're just in that mode. We're so much filled with truth and wisdom and things, and we just want to to share it. But I'm very blessed to meet people like you and other writers who have these truths and these talents to share with the world

So it's just so sad that that happens when someone is telling the truth, because the truth hurts, but it can only help. And so, yeah, just like you. I remember reading a few poems by Emily Dickinson when I was in high school and in junior college, and I never got to delve deeper into her biography, like, who she really was

And I used to always say, you know, I'm honest, I'm honest to a fault, but I think it's even more than that. So that's my interpretation of what she means, is that people can't handle the blatant, obvious truth. It needs to be skirted around. It needs to be gradually leveled in. It needs to be powdered and sugar coated and all of that, or people just don't accept it

And that just means I need to go ahead and educate myself on exactly what it is and what it means because people think it's intellectual disorder. But in the back of my mind I always felt it was probably more social or perhaps there's a spectrum. I'm not sure because there are times when I'm in a group around people and so many references could fly over me. Not a lot gets by me, you know, flies over me, but certain references will fly over me

But at one time when he was in preschool and he was just, like, barely walking, I think he was like two or something, or a year old, I guess, because he started walking at seven months, believe it or not. But he. One of the kids bit into him, like, bit him on the stomach numerous times. Not even just once

I can only imagine what you went through emotionally with that. And I do understand that you try to see it from the teacher's point of view, you know, as to why she did what she did. You know, it's always a great thing to look at all viewpoints and understand everyone. Yet at the same time, this really highlights an issue with those of us who do not understand autism
