Diabetic Journal Check-In—Cheap Glucose Strips and More🤦🏾‍♀️ Part 1

article image placeholderUploaded by @BunBunsBookPick
Hey. Hey. This is Erica at Bumbun's book pick, and I'm here today to talk about my diabetic journey so far. I try to do these check ins every once in a while. I also do this on my medium blog, just in case other people are experiencing this, and also just so that I can unleash the rage. But anyway, so my glucose reading strips ran out the other day, and so I decided, let me get one from the supermarket that's nearby

Damn Diabetes!!

But what bothers me, that makes my nerves go up is like going through TSA, making sure you're there on time, making sure I don't have to run to a gate. And my numbers were pretty high that day and I was eating pretty well. So I know that the stress was what was making me have some of those numbers. So don't beat yourself up. Diabetes is something that we work with and it's not always going to be perfect

@Oldish

She used to have it eight years ago. It hasn't been back since. So type two is completely reversible. It takes some work, but it's completely reversible. Type one, I know you mentioned about your son. Type one is a different beast. We pretty much all suffer the same thing. It's an insulin problem, but type one has to rely completely 100% on the insulin. But my heart always go out to any diabetes for real
