Book REVIEWERS Have Gotten NASTY Over the Years…

article image placeholderthe black booktok drama around Natasha Bishop: is this reaction justified? is it bullying?
But the reason why I'm talking about this today is because if you are a book reviewer, and I was professionally reviewing books for several years, if you're a book reviewer, review books that you actually like in the genres. For, for example, if you're a romance reader like me, then nine times out of ten, your books that you read, you're going to give a great review because it's in the same vein of something that you like

Hey, Eric, I'm just sitting here listening to this. Hey, listen. You know, I mean, but I'm thinking to myself, like, look, if you're a book reviewer and you review all kind of books, if you come across a book that's just not written well or it's kind of anticlimactic, whatever, you know, grammatical errors, bad plot development. I mean, that. Doesn't the reviewer have to be

You know, if the plot is bad, if there are too many syntactical errors, grammatical errors, definitely let that be known. That's important. But yeah, but all the other stuff to me is just catty and I don't know if that's a new thing. Again, I leave my honest review and then I keep it pushing. I don't know

And I guess, you know, these book review influencers are basically using that drama to kind of, like, I guess, attract attention to themselves, which I guess, is the main idea with, you know, social media nowadays. But, you know, in regards to the plot device I mentioned earlier, that. That theme, I guess it really boils down to kind of a more modern, Edgier. Edgier take on the whole beauty and the beast type of thing

That book received five solid stars on Amazon and it has the favorite reed medal and, but to earn that medal it's because the book literally chews you up and spits you out towards the end. And I think we're just masochist at this point because I still gave the book 4.5 stars because it was super, super amazing. But anyway. But thank you so much for your contribution to this. I enjoy your responses
