Are y’all Still Doing Stuff After Work?🤦🏾‍♀️

But I have to remember that it's not about me because I know people who are really extroverted. They always tell me, well, it's not about you. So I'm not going to be that person to be focusing on me at this gathering because it's not about me anyway. But I am not a fan of doing things after work. I'm a fan of planning things ahead of time

Now, as far as leaving the office and hitting up happy hour with folks, no, ain't nobody doing that. I think we're all pretty much like, we're ready to go home, take our shoes off, pull our bras off, right? Ain't nobody trying to be out since I've been on this job that I'm here. I've been here a year and some change, and we went out once for the holiday and, yeah, we planned that well in advance

Hey, Anne, thank you for responding. I definitely remember those Wednesday night Bible studies. I used to take myself to church when I was younger, like three, four days a week. And even up through my 30s, those Wednesday nights and Thursday nights, I would be so tired that I couldn't even focus, really be. So I definitely understand what you're talking about

So I understand the purpose of it. I think depending on the situation, it's a good idea. But like you, I've gotten older, and when I'm done with work, I want to go home. I really don't want to hang around and wait for the Christmas parade. I don't really want to hang around and wait for the spring concert in the park and all of that. I just want to take my butt home and be home chilling. So

Hey, Tanya. Yeah. I think I remember those days when a couple of jobs I had was in the area and they had things going on and I had no choice but to. I mean, I had a choice, but I would be a part of them. I remember before COVID I used to take part in some activities that went on during work. It was a great opportunity to get off the phones when I was working in a call center

But I don't go out of my way to seek them out. And so, from the standpoint of someone having a party. And me being the wallflower, this is not going to offer them anything. And realistically, if the wallflower. I'm not up to with that particular day. The whole sensory experience of it. Or the social experience of it. And I'm just going to be one of the many. I don't think that there's a necessity for me to be there

Hey, Christina, thank you for responding back. And I said, let me hurry up and respond back to her before I get back to whatever I was doing. But, yeah, it is going to be small few folks, so that's a blessing. But I'm so glad that you stand with me on that other apart because I'm told that often that it's not about you. But I don't know. It's always going to be about the individual but also about other people
