But I do want to make more pencil holders because they are so quick and easy to make. That brings me to the image you see here. I bought this off of Amazon a few years ago. Now it's called I Can't Believe I'm Loom Knitting by Kathy Norris. All you need is a loom, a knitting tool, and some yarn, and you can complete half the projects, if not all of them in the book

So I'm just going to share a couple of the things that I've made for Christmas. Christmas is big for me because last year I made, like, 28 reefs. So I don't know if I have any of the other holidays, but I'll see. But thank you so much for inviting me, and happy crafting

Hi, Evelyn. Thank you so much for responding to my swell. And, yes, those are some gorgeous crafts that you showed there. I love the wreaths. I love the colors. Very festive. And it's so beautiful that you love sharing that with people, because it's a joyful thing to do. You feel that joy just giving to others, and that's how I am am now when I knit is just to bring joy to people

They are absolutely beautiful. So colorful. And I am sure that they were well received because they look like something real cushy that you can put your headphones in and keep them in nice shape too at the same time. So you did a wonderful job. You are very skilled. These days a lot of people don't know how to knit from the newer generation and with you knowing how to, you can surely show someone maybe or crochet some more things because those are really cute

It is getting to be that time of year, isn't it? I'm beginning to feel that itch that it's time to create. So I've included a few photos here of things that I have done. Not recently, because I don't do much during the summer, but the first three are from alcohol ink pieces of art that I've done. The fourth photo is a crocheted blanket that I did a couple of years ago

Did you say that's? Alcohol ink. It's beautiful. Like, you guys are so talented. That is beautiful. And then you made a blanket. Oh, my goodness. Y'all are really talented making blankets and origami. I don't even have the patience, but I think it's gorgeous. You guys have been like, you know, I really enjoy you sharing this because I didn't know so many people crafted or was doing things by hand anymore. This is a good thing

Like, the crocheted blanket is basically either the same one stitch or maybe two all the way through. And so it's basically just doing a straight line back and forth. It's not at all like what Erica's doing. I'm just so impressed. I sometimes think about trying something that's more, let's say, practical, I guess a blanket's practical, but I mean something that's more shaped, I guess you could say, like, what Erica's doing

Thank you so much, Evelyn. Your compliments and your encouragement definitely does not go unheard. I love hearing from you. And thank you so much for liking those, because, like I said, the first ones, they were pillowy but kind of hard. And so over time, I started using a softer type of yarn, a lightweight yarn, and people absolutely loved it because it's just so soft

And what's interesting is I have promised myself that I would start my knitting projects in the summer, therefore I can have them already done by fall and winter. But I didn't do that. But at the same time, I'm so glad that these are fall projects because it's like you're making something new, making blankets, like you said, you make little square blankets for your cat. And I think that is so cute. I would love to make something for my Bunbuns as well

It. Thanks, you guys for participating, though. Oh, my goodness. I knew this would be something that all of you would love because I am passionate about it. I am glad people are still working with their hands and still working with art. It's almost like going back in time, like ancient times or just simpler times where you're knitting or where, you're know, like making those beautiful festive wreaths and other beautiful things

And I got started with this by watching a television show called The Great Pottery Throwdown. It's just a beautiful show and the folks are just so incredibly talented, and the judges are fun to watch as well. So I watched this and pottery. The tools and equipment to get into pottery are extremely expensive. A kiln, the oven can cost thousands of dollars, and a potter's wheel can cost hundreds, if not even a thousand

Well, it's prohibitive depending on one's income or let's say, disposable income. So it's really cool to be able to see that this is something that you could create and do at home. And I have to say, for somebody who's not done sculpting before, and even not, like, just in general, I'm very impressed by your splayed hippo. So cute

Beautiful Art!

And I love the artwork that you did. I looked at the photo twice more so I can look at the detail, and it looks like something that will be just very classic and memorable for years to come. Just a wonderful thing. So I really appreciate all of you joining the Swell. It has been a beautiful experience. Looking at all the photos, seeing what you put in your hands to this has just been beautiful. Just beautiful. We have to keep this going. Thank you

Even now, to this day, I still have some trouble with it, but I didn't invest much. And I remember looking at YouTube videos of people who color in coloring books and who create coloring books, and their work looks phenomenal. And so I started saying, why does their coloring look different from mine? I may talk about this in a separate swell, but what made theirs difference is that they learned to treat coloring like it's art. It's the art of coloring

And I was trying to be clever and paint it like some of the famous artists, where they just kind of dab paint on there and they keep layering it on, and all of a sudden it becomes something. And I think I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish, and that is that it looks like a jacko lantern. And I like the brightness of it, but it certainly has a lot, a lot to go. But like I said, I just posted these just to keep the conversation going

And the second one is mostly acrylic paint and might be some acrylic ink in there. I'm not sure. I can't remember. And at first I kind of liked the first one and kind of hated the second one. But over time, I've grown to like both of them, so much so that I'm no longer willing to throw them in the trash, as I had once thought. And I don't know what it is about them

So I know you said it's a work in progress, but thank you so much for keeping this conversation going. I have a few things that I am working on, and I will share it here in a moment. Because along with adult coloring and knitting, I also create what I call pretty printables. They are free printables to download to decorate your homes. So one of them, I just finished yesterday, so I'm doing the posting and writing the description of it and everything

Hi, Christina. I just looked at your artwork, and it looks like cranes or birds are emerging out of something. I don't know. It's very abstract, but it also looks like it can be birds coming out of a dream or something. I really do love it. I love all of the artwork and talent that I've seen on here so far
