But, yeah, Atomic Habits helped me to, I don't know, get to bed early and on time, because I used to go to bed nonstop at two in the morning and after reading Atomic Habits well, not right after reading it, but after slowly going to bed early and earlier. It's been a couple of years now since I went to bed really late and maybe sporadically, like here and there

Did I say that already? And so what's really cool is, in his Ted Talks, but also in the book, he does a lot of optical illusions and sort of plays with some of that to show us that the data coming in. Okay, so this is a fascinating tidbit

Raptured by ernest angley and The Left Behind Series by Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins

Good morning and thank you for inviting me to this. Well, there have been several books that I've read in my life but there have been two that have changed my trajectory in my life and one of them is called Raptured by Ernest Angley. In this book. It explains what it will be like when the church is raptured and people are left behind. What we need to do to prepare and what the Christina will have to go through after Jesus has raptured

Erica. I was literally at the bookstore two nights ago and Atomic Habits was right up by the front and it made me think of you because I know you've mentioned it in your casts before. I literally almost bought it and now I wish I would have. Now I'm going to have to go back and get it. But as far as the book, that really was like a page turner and a game changer for me, it was Heal Your Life by Louise Hay

Hi, Carly. Thank you for sharing your favorite books that change your life. The book you mentioned first, You Can Heal Your Life sounds like a really good book that I need to add to my ebook or Audible shelf. That sounds really good. And even think like a monk. Sounds good. I really love books that talks about self healing, self help, things of that nature. So, yeah, I really appreciate the feedback. Thank you. Bye

It definitely put a lot of fear, but also reverence for God in me. It's something else. Another book that I liked is The Screwtape Letters by C. S. Lewis. He's the one who wrote The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which became very s. Lewis you know, he's responsible for writing a lot of Christian essays and Christian books, and he comes from a philosophical type of background, I should say

You. Hey, Christina, thank you for responding. You know what's interesting about critical thinking, when I was taking that course in college many years ago, I learned that very same fact that what we see is really 10%. So the other 90% is our mind and perception. And so, for example, while I'm reading someone's article, if I'm reading a book, I think I know what the next word is going to be, because I see it

It's light reading, which is always good because you can kind of do it on the go while you're working out or doing whatever you're doing, cleaning house or whatever. So, yeah, I'm glad that you like them, and I can't wait to hear your experience

And for me that was a huge eye opener that I was doing myself a disservice by holding on to that trauma. And not only to myself, even to everyone who could be remotely associated with me in future. I really wanted to be a good parent because of the bad experiences that I had as a child and somehow those bad experiences were going to impact my parenting subconsciously. I started my healing journey after reading that book and my life has changed by 360 degrees, I can say that

You, my answer will be a little different. The book that changed my life I'm a writer. I used to have the lack of confidence and say I'm a want to be writer. But I've had a newspaper column for 15 years and published short stories. I've just never published a book. So the book that changed my life is Catcher in a Rye. And it's because I hate it

Hey, putbot. Thank you for just responding back to my swell. And thank you also for sharing a piece of your personal history with us as well. It's amazing how just someone else's words, whether they're an expert or someone who has great insight or just reading a book, can literally change lives. And so that's an awesome title that you recommended, and I suspect a lot of people may need to read that book, if not all of us need to read that book

Hey, Brian, thank you for responding. And I like that answer because there are books that, because of their content or because of the writer behind it that changes our opinion about something or, you know, enlightens us about something even though they're bad. And I've always heard of Catcher in the Rye and, you know, I never had the desire to read it. And it's just like Moby Dick, right?

Thank you, Michael, for sharing your response. And, you know, as I mentioned to another responder, even fiction can change lives. And I love how you said you passed the book on to your family and then theory pass it on. I love that because sometimes well, a lot of the times when we think of passing something on, we think of other objects or we think of money or a home or some other legacy

Hi, JJ. Thank you for responding to my swell. And the Slight Edge sounds like a really amazing book, and I love how you said that it saved your life and it changed your life. That's what I like to hear. I'm just so humbled and thankful that all of you who've responded have some really great books that, know, changed you or changed your thinking or changed how you view life. So I'm really thankful. Yeah

So I admire his literature because of the firmins in his writing and very much outsider's thoughts. So adding to this, I would also like to add that if Greeks gave depth to philosophy, then German fervents gave wings to it. About the book the book is about disgruntled hermit who is ostracized by the society because of his inability to gel with people well or to cope up with the worldly things or customs

And also I love reading anything by philosophers, the Greeks, African philosophies. And then you mentioned this person who sounds familiar, the German philosopher. So, yeah, I really do love reading books like that. And thank you so much for taking the time to listen to my swell. Thank you

Hey, good morning. So I was looking at your swell a couple times, and I meant to comment, I hadn't, but this morning I am. So the book that has changed my life was a book that I was given by a therapist I saw. And the book was called Telling Yourself the Truth. Because I kind of, like, grew up I grew up in a Christian home. Home

I'm interested in checking out that book because I think it's very beneficial for people like me. And like you said, you grew up in a certain household where you were told things not to do, and even in marriages, there have to be certain boundaries set. And I learned that from a video that Oprah was in years ago, where a relationship expert I believe it was a relationship expert said that even in marriages, there has to be some sort of boundaries

Hi. IWYN thank you so much for contributing your thoughts and also letting us know about your book that you've written that is so neat that you have been transformed by your own words, because I am a big believer that words are transformative even when we use the word spell, like spelling, it's like casting magic. So the fact that you were transformed by your own work, that's amazing

And you know the images and the pictures which you see by your eyes, they are the pictures that you understand them as yourself. But nobody can understand these images which you see in your life and you know about them. So I mean when this is the difference between what you see about the world and others sees about the world, this is the difference between what we see and what others see. And when I see word, I see different kind of nature, different kind flowers and anything
