#TellYourStory | From Fitness Princess and Tennis, to Chronic Illnesses🥹

So I was just really into fitness and maybe because my dad was just really into fitness himself and I mean, I just really loved it. And you would think that that would be something I would carry on to my adult life. And it was in some ways, I stopped being fit or getting into exercise, and then it just fell off. Over the years, sometimes that happened. You get older, and you just start eating more things, and you're not thinking about movement

Diabetes is a blessing in a way…

But, yeah, my story is that I lived a life of fitness. Even when I was 19 to 20 years old, I was still getting up very early in the morning to do stomach crunches and different strength and toning exercises. I would do pilates and sambarega dances. I love Queenia Riviera's Sambarega DVD. It's just a phenomenal DVD. Like, you will sweat and learn to dance at the same time

Just like I never regretted going into prayer. It might be times where I'm like, okay, I got to shut down the phone, shut down the TV, go into prayer, read my Bible. But I never regret it. I never come out of prayer saying, well, I was a waste of time. And I feel the same way about workout

I put on my sweats, and even in weather like this, I would play. But, yeah, I think it would be nice to jump back into that. And yes, so you totally, completely understand how type two you definitely understand how the type two diabetes work, because I'm so glad that it's something that can be manageable. In ancient times, it wasn't

Hey, SIS, thank you so much for telling your story. I have a similar story as far as being really into fitness, I'm still into fitness. I do work out three to four times a week, and so I am into fitness. But for me, like you said about the sitting jobs, once we started working full time from home during the Pandemic, that's when I really saw a change. Not really so much my weight, I didn't gain a ton of weight

So the previous job that my husband and I had, even though it was an office that had a couple of floors, and we literally had to walk to the other floor or take the stairs to get to the bathrooms. So even though we were walking all the time at that particular job and drinking lots of water because I always kept water with me, I noticed that my weight had picked up because I had the grocery job before that job and my weight had picked up and it was picking up
