article image placeholderWhat Is Ozempic and Why Is It Getting So Much Attention? (Published 2022)
And that's because their bodies were used to taking the drug for the weight loss, and they probably were still eating things that they shouldn't have been eating. So the best thing to do is to continue to exercise and eat right. Even if you're taking ozambic talk back to me. Swell. Let me know your thoughts. I'll be back with more swells

To me, it used to be a time where these diabetes medications making people lose weight was just a side effect, and that's all it was. But somewhere along the way, somebody decided, you know what? We can use this as a weight loss tool for people. And then it just took off from there. So thank you so much for bringing this out

I started reading labels and I was like, oh, dang, I can't have that. So it made me think a little bit different. And hopefully I can stay on that phase because my blood pressure was raising and I couldn't get it down. And I'm taking medication, so that's what I'm doing right now. But I have friends, a lot of them. They had gastric bypass before, and then they gained all the weight back

There were so many conversations last night, but I do remember her saying that she literally did not have access to the type of medication that she needed. And so that really drove things home, because you're having real people right here, right now, in my face, telling me that they literally have no access and they really are diabetic. And being a diabetic, type one or type two, it absolutely sucks. It sucks. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I'm tired

I think I'm going to be more vigilant about my sodium intake even more. I'm very thankful that I've made changes to my diet and that I'm noticing those changes. But, yeah, I think it's just about being mindful with what we do. When I was talking about Kaki Akamura's book last year on this swell, it was called wah, the art of balance. She kept honing in on being mindful with what we eat in America, we demonize food
