Why I Haven’t Watched Awards Shows In 4EVER😬

article image placeholderUploaded by @BunBunsBookPick
The country music awards, I haven't heard anything Ratchet coming out of there yet. Correct me if I'm wrong, but so far, even the Oscars, like the Grammys Oscars, different awards shows, there's something crazy that happens. And I'm bringing all of this to you because the recent Grammys, I don't know if it aired a couple days ago. See, that's how out of touch I am. I don't know

But I don't know, when I watch these award shows, it's just things just seem kind of, I don't know, kind of off, kind of flat. Same thing with the Oscars. I watched the first half hour and that's know, because to me, a lot of movies coming out nowadays are just, I don't, you know, one thing that always kind of catches my attention is the Tonys. I don't know

But I have not watched an award show since. My oldest son was either in high school or he was home for college and he was watching the MTV awards. And I try to be, I don't know, the cool mom and sit and watch it with him. And I played myself because, one, I didn't know any of these people that were super famous. Like when they stepped on stage, the whole auditorium went crazy and certain people kept winning awards

And it was a very heartwarming performance. I could just tell that Luke Holmes really loved that song, and he really kind of looked up to and admired Tracy Chapman for that beautiful song she wrote. So I just want to come back and put that. So to me, it was very heartwarming to see Tracy Chapman performing again and singing that beautiful song with that guitar. I mean, she's aged a bit

So I know she went through a lot. So I remember those ladies and then the chair throwing at the Bet or the source awards. I think I really remember that ghetto, like you said, ghetto ratchetry is just. Oh, my goodness. And so it reminds me of when Huey on the boondocks, where he decided to watch nothing but black content. And the more he watched it, the more he was

Let me think. Was it Fantasia? I think it was the clip of Fantasia honoring Tina Turner. I only saw like a minute of the clip, and I loved her makeup. I loved her hair. The performance, I only saw a minute of it. So I'll suspend my judgment. It was very flashy and it seemed all over the place. But I loved her makeup and her hair. That's all I recall

Hey, Javon, thank you for mentioning that. I just listened to Anne's response and she mentioned, yeah, that's probably a clip I would rather see now. I would rather see that performance because even to this day, me and my husband will play her music. It's like our background music for work, her and several other artists. It's like a playlist in rotation while we're working. That would definitely be nice to view
