His parents are very grateful to her because while they're not there to be with him, this woman, this very kind woman, is able to help their son out. But you do kind of get the feeling that he doesn't want her to be alone, that he wants to be with her in some way. So I really love how the author kept things very appropriate in this book. She kept it tight to food and family
