Michael Smith says, don't waste your time or your money on detoxing. Eating veggies and lean proteins should do the trick. Now, the doctor isn't wrong. Having a healthy diet of lean proteins and veggies, getting your fibers and a small amount of carbs in is ideal. So essentially, he's not wrong. And in fact, in the beginning of the article, the writer does mention that detoxing has some benefits, especially weight loss benefits

And then they'll ask me about my alcohol intake and I'm like, I have no idea. The last drink I had was however many years ago, because I just don't drink that often. And they're like, oh, okay. It's like there are things that build up there, and if you decided to decrease the amount of alcohol in your system, then those levels are going to change, right? And that's a form of detox

As women, we naturally retain water around our menstrual periods. We just retain water in general because of our female dna makeup. Men can lose weight and they don't carry water weight unless there's a health issue. Women, we do carry some water weight, even if we're healthy. If you carry significant water weight, then of course, that's the sign of a deeper health issue, a heart or a kidney problem

Hey, Christina. That's the exact same thing I was thinking when I read that paragraph. I literally read it three times to be sure it wasn't just me. And yes, our body build up toxins over time, or it can build up too much of a good thing over time, and it needs to be released and unleashed. And so the beginning of the article, the writer who mentioned about Dr

And there are some things that are sprayed and the doctor said, oh, no, spraying chemicals on stuff is not the problem. That's not going to do anything to you. Like, he said it with a straight face and I was like, no, but anyway, I appreciate your honest feedback. And like I said, there are some things I disagree with, but overall, I do agree that our bodies are uniquely designed to do things. So thank you so much

There's something I'm eating, I'm not drinking enough water. And also, fasting is another way that you can help your body reset. If you feel like my body needs a reset and something to help restart these functions or to get these things back in alignment, fasting is another way that you can help your body reset. In fact, studies have shown that a three day fast can help reset your immune system

Hey, Tanya, thank you for mentioning fasting, because at least a couple days out the week, I've been doing intermittent fasting where I'll eat a very late breakfast. And I think the only other food I have is lunch or dinner. And I have noticed the difference. And so I think I see what you're saying, that some people who tox it seems like it's like a fast, quick shortcut, but it doesn't address why the person has to detox to begin with
