If grief doesn’t ever go away, may as well make it your friend.

And maybe that will be more frequent for me in a different season, different time. So I'm just curious to know how grief has changed for you. Does it feel like it's gone? How have you dealt with it differently?

I guess that's just more or less how we can understand it is, yeah, we would lead very comfortable, satisfied, peaceful lives without some of these traumatic occurrences, these breaches of connection and relationship and trust. But because they happen to us, we can imagine that that creates the distortion, that creates the unsettling, maybe erratic nature of our emotions in that. And I would say that's grief. It can feel erratic, it can ebb and flow, it can crush

It's allowed it to focus on other things than constantly maybe hoping or resting a lot of my energies on an outcome or a response from someone else that I think I need. It very much turns into this beautiful reconciliation with myself
