The reality of foreclosure

article image placeholderUploaded by @Her_Sisu
And I'll do some other real estate related Swell cast, but more so to combat the stigma of foreclosure, because there are many, many reasons why people just being human beings, enter foreclosure. H***, I've been there myself before as a survivor of domestic violence, but I want to create a spirit of humanity around the situation, a sense of seeking to understand in people's experience. And not everyone I come in contact with is in a space of foreclosure

So while he's on the road, somebody's trying to get in touch with him to find out, hey, where's your mortgage? We don't have your mortgage payment. And then even the mortgage company would be willing to work with him if it was a situation where he's in default, they would be willing to work with him to help him get caught up. They would modify the loan

I think these stories humanizing. What looks simple from the outside are so important. I read another one online just the other day where a guy had hired someone to cut his lawn on a regular basis. And the guy did a great job, showed up every week and did his thing. And then he missed a week. And the homeowner thought, okay, maybe that's just something came up, not worried

However, that's the thing in my situation was because I was a survivor of domestic violence and the financial abuse, that was a part of it, thankfully, I was able to get out of it. Where prayer is needed is because, let me tell you, these banks are moving extremely different. And it's because especially in areas where there are people who are foreclosing on properties, are entering that pre foreclosure space on properties that have a lot of equity in them

And when it got close to the date and I needed to confirm our time on the calendar, I was just reaching out to you simply like, hey, I haven't heard anything. Is this time good? But I had no ill thought. I didn't think you were ignoring me. I didn't think that you weren't taking this. I had none of those thoughts. None of those thoughts ever surfaced to the top my brain or even formed a molecule of a thought in my brain

Yes, yes. People go through some s*** and there's a stigma to it that shouldn't be there. There's a stigma to a lot of stuff we should 2nd 2nd guess ourselves on. So I love this. I love what you're saying, girl. Love it

It's. Thank you, Renee. I am right there with you. At the end of the day, we are all experiencing life. The joys, the sorrows, the great moments, the grand moments, the moments, the moments that suck in our own way, right? Because our journey is our own end individual journey

But I also am wise enough to know, and I know you know, that there are those that just won't get off their a** and handle their s***, but unless we've been a fly on the wall. But I love that you're putting that out there. So, anyway, so I'm sure I'll have more train wrecks coming, just buckle up. Anyway, thank you for sharing this again
