When Being Like Christ Becomes A Sin

article image placeholderUploaded by @Her_Sisu
He comes up with this idea to be Christ because he sees how Christ rolls around with the AKA entourage, the disciples, and he's like, look, people lay money at his feet. They do this, they do that. He has resources. He doesn't have to worry about anything. That's the life I'm trying to live. So I'm going to pretend I am him. I'm essentially be like him. And the amount of opposition this man faced doing that is insurmountable

Let's get some more diversity on the screen, please. McKee Stanfield is probably going to be one of the greatest actors ever lived. So, yeah, I'm glad this movie is good. I'm going to watch it. I'll report back when I watch it

#MovieBreakdown #opinion #perspective #film

So last weekend, I had the great pleasure of watching this film, and I'll say that I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. It was a bit long, but to me, it didn't drag on. It was very eventful. So it definitely had me, or I'll say it had my attention. And as far as your perspective goes, I would say that I definitely gathered the same from it

Hey, it's Jl. Yes, please do check it out. And of course, hands down a phenomenal all star, majority black cast. And I won't deny I really didn't know much about the film before going to see it. I was hooked when I saw the Last Supper image with all black people or majority black people or 99.9% black people. I have actually a picture of the Last Supper in my home like that, and it's all black

Thank you for adding to it and pointing out some other things that I missed, not missed and just in my summary, but just that didn't resonate with me at that same way as I watched it. So I appreciate you for pointing those things out and chiming in to this discussion

It's thank you for your response as well. I did want to just ask you a question or kind of get your insight just to kind of see what you think about this. Hopefully I don't want to take up too much of your time on this topic but remember those moments when he would get the light bulb where it'd be like an idea or maybe it was a moment of enlightenment

But that doesn't usually deter me from watching the movie because I'm good and grown. I was just aware of them. But when someone comes out with such a detailed and thorough review of the movie usually piques my interest, which you have done. So if I get a chance to watch it this weekend, next weekend or whatever, I'll circle back and tell you how it was. If not, like I said, I might wait till it streams, but I'm definitely interested now

Now, when it happened again towards the end, and I want to say this was right, it was shortly after he converted in his own way to becoming a believer within his own right. And there was another light bulb moment towards the end around that time period where I had a split interpretation of maybe it's an idea and maybe it is symbolic of him receiving the Holy Spirit, that the Holy Spirit was this light that was emanating over him, covering him on his mission

Oh, see, I did not know that Jay Z had any hand in the production of this movie. And, listen, I'm horrible with credits. Sometimes I notice them, sometimes I don't. And that particular evening, we went, my boyfriend and I have this joke. He says that I often have to go use the bathroom in middle of the movie. And I swear, when we sat down, when we walked in, he was like, you got to go use the restroom

And then I became skeptical, or I'm not sure I'm going to see this movie until you heard my review. That was a little different. And so I only bring that up as with, and this movie is just an example I'm a big believer in, if I may offer this life feedback. As with anything in life, we're talking about a movie specifically. As with anything in life, there are going to be a multitude of opinions and thoughts and feedback

But, yeah, I'm anxious to watch it. But, yeah, that's my thought. Can someone explain to me what the problem with Jay Z being involved with the film is? Because I don't understand that the culture of hip hop and that side of the industry of the rich, the wealthy, wealthy people like Jay Z and P. Diddy and all those people are on that ultra wealthy side of the spectrum. So are people upset that he is for that?

So I'm going to add to what you were saying, and I also add to my previous comment about the passion of the Christ. That was a religious movie that caught a lot of scrutiny, the same kind of scrutiny that this movie is catching. I think it's a symptom of obvious racial division and segregation within the christian faith and also a segregation in the film industry. So you're seeing two amazing things happening

Jl, you cracked me up with your storytelling. I'm listening to your reply as I was driving, and the whole time I felt like I had to pee because the way you described. The way you described holding your pee. Oh, my God, you are hilarious. It's always a joy listening to talk to you soon

But there are people that believe know Kanye is a Christian. At least Jay Z is like, why are you making a movie about it? So that's where the controversy is coming from

Yeah, that's wild. I didn't know that the rumors were going around JC was into witchcraft and stuff like that. He should just be happy that he's married to Beyonce

Ninja meets Kanye and Drake. https://s.swell.life/SU1rcSz4wbOE3hs

Everybody in Africa is poor, and they've somehow made it all the way over here to the american music industry. Ninja and Yolandi get a house. They get invited to play basketball with Kaye. It's a wonderful story, if you want to see, because hip hop rap is an uniquely american form of music formed here in this country. And this is after all those years of sampling and mixing and spreading to the world, it spread to South Africa. These two got into it

Music and The Occult @DearAuntyAng

Auntie Ange, I actually remembered something. A couple months ago, I saw a sit down interview with Jay Z. I believe it was for Sirius XM or some radio show, and they asked him about sitting down or having the confidence to sit down in a room full of men in suits. And the words that he was saying, the words he was drawing from, don't think it comes from witchcraft. I think it comes from the power of giving yourself over to something else

And because these other people are not doing it or they haven't mastered harnessing that power, they then say, oh, well, this person is either a part of the illuminati or is a non believer, or is evil or a lover of money or practicing witchcraft. Someone was sharing with me, not on this forum, and this was a while ago, that one of the things about air quotation witches is that people burned and tortured them, these witches

Hey, there ain't nothing wrong with having a fear of God in your heart, man. If it seems wrong to you, it is wrong. The fear of God is gift of the Holy Spirit. And if your gut says no, stay away. But, yeah, that fear of God is a gift

Egypt and Africa, all those places at that point in time were mixing it up with the Roman Empire. Romans were there, Germans were there. It was a melting pot in that moment in time of all of us together. So, yeah, man, it's just like, there's a rich history there, and it's amazing. And like you said, this canadian, and I'm glad, dude, I'm glad that you're here. I'm glad that you're talking
