Now, if they slowed down their rate of speech, I could pick up a little bit and he would break down some things to me. And he had this nephew that was so sweet. He sat down beside me. They do this beautiful, beautiful Thanksgiving tribute where it starts with the little kids first and it goes into the adults where everyone goes around. And it took about a good 3 hours, but it was so worth it because most people put that amount of effort for a funeral

I was a part of a Jamaican family for 18 years through marriage. The food is amazing and I eat Jamaican food 90% of the time. I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and my preference is Jamaican food. I can cook it pretty well. I learned a lot through my father in law of how to cook certain foods and it just stuck with me

Every culture is going to have a chicken dish, right? Like, you can go to any nation and I'm going to find chicken on somebody's menu. Maybe it's prepared. Maybe it's fried. Maybe it's curried with a jerk sauce. Or maybe it's Mandarin style or everybody's going to cook chicken, for example, right, other than our vegan and vegetarian friends. But every culture has a signature dish, the grandmothers. I don't care what culture you're from

So many of the little things. Just being able to have a voice, that's something to be grateful for. Being able to see and hear your family, those are things to be grateful for. I love your pictures, by the way. I was looking at your pictures, and you look so happy, and he looks so happy, and I wish for you the best. I can definitely see a lot of harmony and a lot of commitment in those photos, and I can see your glow

It. Talk about healing out loud. This is beautiful. And I love how happy the two of you are in these photos. I love how much fun you seem to be having together. I love oh, my goodness, that experience of like I know how powerful gratitude can be for us individually and the power and influence it can have on our well being. But to be in a group where everyone is doing that on a scale like that for 3 hours, how empowerful that must have been

Hi, Christina. Thank you so much for chiming in on my Thanksgiving experience. And I'm grateful you were able to hear the humanity in it and the appreciation in it. So thank you for expounding on that. And also to the gentleman that commented on the word he was impressed with. I appreciate his listen to the experience as well and a new word that he walked away with. It is truly the Thanksgiving that continues to give
