Unlocking Self Love

article image placeholderSpeaker | Author | + Mindset Champion on Instagram: "In the quiet moments, I’ve learned to treasure the art of self-care, and it’s become a testament to the love I have for myself.  The clothes I choose, they’re more than just fabric; they’re an expression of my inner beauty and confidence.  The perfume I wear? It’s a fragrant reminder that I’m worthy of the sweetest scents in life.  My consistent routines of self-care - the manicures, pedicures, and massages - they’re a gentle embrace that whispers, “You matter, you’re important, you deserve this.”  It’s not about vanity; it’s about honoring the sacred vessel that is my body.  Self-love isn’t selfish; it’s a love story that begins with oneself.  Follow me here for real estate investment @her_sisu_properties #hersisu #healingoutloud #author #speaker #investor #limitless #JuanyettaRealEstateMindEstate #SelfLove #Reflection #LoveYourself #InnerBeauty #SelfCare #Gratitude"
Now, many of us have laughed about some of the dating memes that have been out about restaurants to not go to, things to do, to not do. And I just want to say this. I remember a long time ago being a woman in my early twenty s and thinking I made this comment to this other woman and it forever changed my life. And I made the comment to her as I'm discovering my own sexual identity

I just wanted to let you know there are several things that I do for myself, but I'll only mention three. The first is going to sound ridiculously stupid, but I have my Android phone set up to make an audible notification when it's fully charged. And so it reads the text out that I typed in bibbidi bobbidi boo. I love you. And so sometimes when I hear it's like, okay, phone's charged

In my Walk, I used to be like that. I used to buy the fingernail polish, buy the purse, buy the shoes. If I thought that I really liked it or it spoke to me, I always tell my kids, if something speaks to me, that's when I buy it, not just because it's fashionable or because everybody else is doing it, it really has to speak to my soul in order for me to purchase it

And I say that I am more spiritual than religious, but I still think you would appreciate this humor, universal spiritual humor, if you will. So this conversation happens while I'm en route to pick someone up. I'm doing an Uber ride. Okay? So this conversation happens really quickly, and the reason why I kind of progressed quickly, and I'll admit that I broke frame, if you will

I want to conclude with this. I want to conclude with, well, let me finish off oopsie moment, squirrel moment, squirrel moment. So when the guy gets in the car, I'm laughing, and I ask him respectfully, do you speak English well? And he said, yes, I understand English well

Well, I went and pressed by last night, and the little message didn't pop up. And I'm like, I don't have my card and memorize how I am not about to get out of this warm bed after being out in the cold for Halloween, get out of my warm bed just to go downstairs and get that card, input the card information. I was like, you know what that means? That means it ain't meant for me to buy it today

And now that I'm a wife, I'd be thinking, my husband needs this. The house needs this. But just yesterday, my husband bought me a little mini fridge from my office, and I was like, See? Because I asked him, I said, Look, I need a refrigerator. I'm not going to keep going up and down these stairs all day if I need a snack, because I'm a diabetic

And now I'm just like, I hope it's not Barney because I will never hear it the same way again. But anyway, it still has this sort of magical I guess because I'm thinking Cinderella now and fairy godmother. But it's this really I love the effect. It know, sometimes, yes, it's inconsequential, and other times it's just what's needed

Why is he awesome? And I was, you know god. Jesus. And I tried to explain it over and over again and he'd just be like, Who's Jesus? And it went back and forth and back and forth and I should have known, but of course I didn't. I was oblivious and of course not know I was autistic. And he's just snickering over there and I was like, what is his problem?

Now, after my father passed, it's just been different. And so what happens now is we get together as an extended family. It's usually at someone's house, and the message that goes out is, whoever would like to participate, they can bring a gift that is $25 or less. If you decide on your own to go over $25 with your gift, that's on you. But it's $25 or less

Oh, JL. Thank you for the suggestion and thinking of me. I've definitely done this before. In some circles, we call it a white elephant game. I think it is. It's been a long time. What I didn't mention is that I live in a different country from my family, and I don't spend Christmas with anyone. I spend it solo. So send
