Talk to Me Tuesday: The ideology of exploring the dark shadows of self

article image placeholderUploaded by @Her_Sisu
I mean, I could just probably watch a YouTube snippet, right? This is not what the book is about at all. And what the author is going into is how we do all of these things. Or this is what I've gotten so far. We do all of these things to escape the dark, unpleasant sides of ourselves, the parts that we have been told are ugly or that society says is unpleasant, that we then adopted that ideology

So, yeah, this journey, as this comedian said, and you said it before, David Aaron, was not for the week. Right. It's truly not. But I remember her saying that and it came at a cost. And I did not want to admit something because it's always somebody else's fault, right. Or this area I didn't want to touch because it made me feel uncomfortable. But, yeah, this book is probably going to just only confirm what already been doing

Carl Young is a legendary psychiatrist or psychologist in the form of trying to understand the ID and the ego and the animals and the enemies, all that sort of stuff. So I'm quite familiar with this particular line of work. But it's hard because you got to come to grips with the fact that you're not as special as you thought you were. You're not as unique and cool as you thought you were

Really looking inward and embracing the light and dark sides of you. That's where the true work, the true healing, the true evolvement happens. And we have to be open and willing to go there. We definitely have to be open and willing to go there's there and do that work. Thank you for taking time to respond to talk to me Tuesday. Always appreciate your engagement

Yes, you are spoton with Carl Young. Reading this book brought back or I'm still in the middle of reading it, let me not make it sound like I have stopped. But reading it, it really brought back a lot of the contributions to psychology from Carl Young and the importance of understanding the light and dark sides of us, because that's what makes up the whole of us

But definitely so far for me, it is still a dynamic read. I'm getting back to my I haven't really done any reading about our exploration or further exploration about Carl Young's work in a long time. This is a refreshing take on it. Especially now that when I did do some reading on Carl Young's work back in the day I was younger, life was perfect

Hi, Jayl. I have been meaning to reply to this Swell. I know this is an older Swell, but I want to say, first of all, thank you for posting this, because I have heard about this book essential Kink for a while. An old roommate I had a friend, she started reading it, and she was like, this is changing my life. I'm a little creeped out. Like, I got to put the book down

It's wickedly deliciously. So truthful and so helpful. I am so open to a virtual book review and just check in. Like I said, I'm right there at week or activity six or chapter six or whatever you said. I'm literally right there. I'm literally right at the same space. But I'm going to read another ten pages tonight, so I might be somewhere different. All right, enjoy your evening

Wow. Yes. Congrats. I'm so glad that Windfall bunny. Woo. Yes. I've been really wanting to start a new or some kind of conversation around it, so I'll definitely like you in. Or we can continue on this thread as well because I'm still so curious of others have started reading it, but yeah, I haven't necessarily seen anything shift yet. Like a little bit. I think I've kind of been working, still working through it
