Petty Betty or Petty Freddy 🤭
I have a thing with Happy birthdays on Facebook. I have a thing. And the reason why it's a thing is because Facebook has made it dumb proof. Yes, I said it dumb proof. They literally will tell you if you are friends with someone, hey, it's JL's birthday today. And they even make it so simple and so easy. They pre type out all of the different ways you can say Happy birthday to JL

But, yeah, it's okay to have those feelings. I feel like. I think I have my pettiness, too, is I think if I meet somebody and I follow them and we've been talking and we connected in person, and then they don't follow me back, I just am kind of like, why didn't you follow me back? I followed you back. I followed you. I don't know

And so I got up there and said, well, did you tell people that you did this? And you tell people you did that? I got real petty and put my business out there, his business, which is also mine, because it was annoying. So last week, a Facebook friend put out one of those prayer request things, right? She's like, I feel like a failure. Can you all just pray for me?

And so if one were to go to my TikTok or my personal Instagram page, the number of people I follow in comparison to the number of people who follow me, there's a vast difference. It's like, oh, I follow 600 people, and there's like 200 people that follow me because I did exactly that. People will say, girl, follow me on Instagram. I'll follow you back. And I'm like, okay

Now, we had to be invested in all of those photos and videos and reels and all kinds of mess. And then the baby come and they either are like, I'm not showing baby pictures and I'm not revealing my baby's name or whatever. And I'm like, so I had to look at all these blurry ass ultrasound pictures, including the, they claim, look like the baby. And I'm still like the baby, but it still looks like a blob to me
Okay, so I think we might be a little opposite because I would, back in the day, I would not delete but turn my Facebook off around my birthday. And it wasn't that I didn't want people to know it was my birthday, because now the older I get, the more I'm like, it's my birthday month, it's my birthday year, it's my birthday week. But it made me really tired to go through and, like, every one of those posts

Okay. Your mom won. Your story so resonated with me because this particular year I was actually like, I'm gonna log off of Facebook around my birthday so that I don't get all those messages. And the reason being is usually I get like, I get a lot. Like, my birthday post is the most engaged post throughout most of the year. So it's like 250 likes and then equal number of comments. And at first it felt good
