I can’t believe ____ has something to say 😮!

I'm speaking on politics in America and inactions of our government. I just found it odd that because of how she grew up, because of what she did as a career choice to make ends meet, because of how she speaks and likely English, I don't know for sure

But, hey, thank God that Cardi's caught up on it. I thank God she can do a post or a TikTok and kind of keep the rest of us informed. There's nothing wrong with that. I dislike the way we treat entertainers, and that could be from anyone who sings and dances to sports players or the like. We treat them as if they're dumb. We treat them with the whole, just shut up and dance. You're just here to entertain us

These sorts of perspectives really drive me a bit body. Like, why the surprise and shock over it? We create these scenarios of once someone becomes famous, it's like we strip away their humanity and they're just a shell of the person and that's all we understand them to be. We don't have the highs and lows, the darks and lights, the nuances and complexities of whoever they are

Now I forgot the details of the interview. There was this one interview where the interviewer pretty much asked her a really asinine question, and Paris, her voice, just like that, went from the Paris Hilton personality to Paris Hilton. The woman, the business, the brand. And I remember exiting the room, turning up the tv so I could hear it while I did things around the house. I exited the space. I was no longer in front of the tv

Hey, Angela. Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. They are just people, and we tend to regard them differently than the human beings that they are. And thank you so much for bringing that up that there are other people from other entertainment industries that have ran for office and made it. Arnold did. There was somebody else, wasn't one of the presidents, formerly an actor? Anyway, so it's not just her

And it's sad. But yes, every citizen has a right to speak on it, especially those who are in the entertainment field because they have a larger platform and a larger voice. So thank you so much

Your voting can come down to reasons why you don't get funding in your area for your schools, for your kids schools. Yes, it can come down to that in certain elections based on homeowners, people who own homes in that particular area, what block gets the most funding? What area gets the most funding? Because you don't go out and vote. But anyway, getting back to the question at hand, never look a book. Never look a book by its cover

Just the same as you're like, what, jl? You're not voting. So I get it. And when my son mentioned it to me yesterday, when he was like, mom, because they were out of school yesterday, and he was like, mom, you're not voting. And I was like, shoot. Here I am using the words and saying to him, voting is important

You know, you don't talk like that. For real. No, because it's a business. It's a brand. Just like with Cardi B. She is a business, she is a brand, and then she's also a person, and she's highly intelligent. And like I said, I enjoy listening to her politically because she does break it down. She makes it normal, it easily understandable, and that's why I enjoy listening to her. This was a good swell

@Her_Sisu Haters 🤬🤬🤬 #politics #perspective #content creator

You. So I believe this comes down to the old adage of, unless you have experience with this, then you can't speak on this. But as we know, that's a falsehood, because you don't have to go to war to have a perspective on war. You don't have to be an environmentalist to have a perspective on climate change and global warming

And that's exactly what my thought is in terms of the comments I was reading is these people are judging her just based on appearance, her work of art, how she puts on her business uniform if you will, and missing the message. And you're right, we are in trouble if we only are saying that only the people that are close to the topic at hand can say something to it

@Her_Sisu Appreciate you ☺️ #society #judgment

And then until people share information, then you can start to put together the blocks and pieces of who this person is before you. But you know nothing. I know nothing. We know nothing. And just start there as opposed to, like, well, I think this and I think this, and this is this. And this is what I was exposed to. All the bias, all the thoughts that come through the head. Gotta. Gotta cut it out. Cut it out

But then you look at other people, like swiss beats and other art collectors, and you start realizing that there's a disparity in what us as artists being represented within the global landscape of all places where art making is valued and give you a platform to be able to say a statement that could be considered of political or social significance by the sheer number of people you reach. Art Basel is still art Basel. Someone puts artwork there, up there every year. I believe that's still controversial

And you brought up so many key points regarding how do we as a society move past the whoever it was that assigned a dress code to you said it so eloquently, and I'm not going to be able to repeat it as eloquently as you said it. So whoever the powers that be that assigned a dress code to intelligence, to being able to speak the truth, to be able to speak their truth, what make it make sense? The math ain't math

But we care about Cardi B. Why? Because she has wit, a predisposed level of value via public curation. And that's the problem with the Internet. We give people a platform they don't even want, then you wonder why they'd rather sit at home all day and be left alone. And then they having breakdowns out of nowhere when they boyfriends, like, mess with them or treat them bad. Who else they got to talk to but everybody? Who forcing them to

And I really do hope to anyone who is listening to this swellcast and all of the responses on this swellcast that you walk away from this dialogue and continue it in your own circles, in person and in your own social media threads of focusing on the message. What do we need to get from the message? Not how does the messenger look, their background, their socioeconomic status, their educational status, what outfit they're wearing, the color of their skin, their religion, et cetera
