Some people may find it irrational, but I do this...
So there are movies I wouldn't have watched if I didn't know him and movies that have changed my life that I've seen because of him. But if there is a movie that he wants to see, particularly heavy action movies, because I don't like them that much, I will not let him show me the trailer

I'm not going to sit here every night, watch a movie. But if a movie is really good and I'm into it and it's very interesting and stuff, I will watch it. But again, I'm with you with my hubby, he'll recommend me something and then he'll tell me about it and I'm like if you just put it on and start watching it, most likely I probably will be interested. But yeah, I totally, totally agree with you
One time when we went to my aunt's house, my great aunt's house, her sister, she made lingua, which is cow tongue, and she made like a lingua sandwich witch and she didn't tell us and my cousins and I went to go try it and only one of my cousins liked it and she was like good, it's cow tongue and we never ate it ever again and we were all traumatized
