Hey, swell, I hope you're doing well. I just watched a video of a girl that paid a professional to do her hair. She paid $1300 dollars, and the stylist literally melted her hair off. She had very, very long hair and was left with about two inches of hair, like, completely chemically cut by bleach

Let me figure out what I'm doing wrong or whatever, or let me just admit that maybe this is beyond my scope of skills and ability. I don't know how to do this. And I've seen videos of people that go into hair salons and they request services that the stylist up front admits, I don't know how to do this. I don't do this. I don't do african american hair. Hey, Ms. Coles. Yeah. So what I gathered from this story is that this woman was an actual stylist. So when I worked in a hair salon, we had the board of cosmetology number on the wall, and then you have to put your license number under it, so if something goes wrong, they can call the board on you. I don't know the end of the story. I just know that I would have been so upset

Heidi, I totally agree. I remember years ago, I went to a beauty school, a cosmetology school, to get my hair done. And of course, these are students. So we have to temper our expectations when it comes to how the style may come out, because they're learning on you. And so I got a haircut. And I remember she shaved the sides of my hair, but she shaved it so close that it was practically bald
I don't remember anything really major standing out to me, any stories. I do know that my husband's auntie, though, goes and gets her hair done by the same guy, and he only ever does what he wants to do. So she's come over to our house a couple of times for me to do her hair, because she likes to have fun. Very different, very vibrant pieces of color in her hair, and her stylist just does not want to do it
